Straid Fishery has built a reputation for making superb quality fishing available to the public. Concentrating our efforts on quality stocking, clean and comfortable facilities and competitive prices has seen anglers travel to us from near and far.Straid Fishery is Co. Antrim's largest privately run fishery. Our Main lake at 20 acres in size is strictly fly fishing only via an Annual fishing ticket. The depth of the lake varies from 4ft to 18ft and the discerning angler has the choice of 1,200 metres of bank fishing or using one of our 14 boats. Weekly stocking of rainbows over 2lb, with its fair share of 10lb plus, gives anglers of all levels of experience the opportunity to hook into fish which have an established reputation of pulling very, very hard.
NEW - Horsetail Retreat Carp & Tench Lake- specialist lake is one of a very view which holds double figure carp. It's is a members only facility for bait angling but prebooked fly sessions are available. Banks and paths have been cleared to allow easy access to the lake's margins. Anglers with restricted mobility can be transported by staff to their choice of fishing stand.

Enjoy the comforts of home in our newly modernised tearoom where tea, coffee and snacks are available. You are welcome to come in for a rest and browse our fishing books and magazines. Recently refurbished Ladies and Gents toilets are available 30 yds from the tearoom.
DIRECTIONS
From Belfast travel north on the M2, or from Antrim travel south on M2. Either way, take the Glengormley exit (exit 4) down onto the Sandyknowes roundabout. Drive around the roundabout taking the fourth exit onto the A8 to Larne.Remain on the A8 as far as the Ballynure roundabout, where the Templepatrick Road (A57) joins from your left and the B58 for Carrickfergus exits to your right – take the B58 towards Carrickfergus.1 mile further on you will meet a small crossroads with the Castletown Road and at the same time see Woodside Haulage Firm in front of you. Turn right onto the Castletown Road. The entrance to Straid Fishery is 500 yards down the hill on your left.
