Shaw's Lake has recently been taken into private ownership. Now operated as a premium trout fishery, Shaw's is famous for its over-wintered rainbows and big brown trout. Extending to over 50 acres the lake offers plenty of scope for boat fishing in the traditional style, as well as plenty of accessible bank. Excellent hatches of buzzers in the early season, complemented by sedges in the summer, make this picture perfect lake a real golden nugget of a fishery in the orchard county of Armagh.

FISHERY RULES
1. All persons visiting the FISHERY do so at their own risk. Shaws Fisheries LTD accept NO responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property, howsoever caused.
2.The FISHERY MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO EXPEL OR REFUSE ADMISSION TO ANY PERSON AS THEY DEEM NECESSARY.
3. All children/ Youths up to 18 must be accompanied by a responsible ADULT, it is the responsibility of the ADULT to ensure children wear suitable eye wear when Fly Fishing.
4.Flies must be Barbless ( conventional hooks with the Barbs removed are accepted).
Double, Treble, Multi- Hook flies, Flicker Spoons and any BITE Attracting Substances are TOTALLY BANNED.
Any Angler found using any of the ABOVE will be immediately BANNED.
5. Anglers are expected to be polite and courteous manner at all times, not in a manner that is detrimental to the Fishery or other Anglers.
6. All used cast must not be DISCARDED around the Fishery; it's a Danger to wildlife as well as unsightly.
